The
Integrity Services Software Data Conversion Manager is an integral
member of the software implementation team. This role will lead the
data conversion efforts in assigned projects as well as improve,
develop, and maintain best practices in data analysis and migration.
The Data Conversion Manager will interface with the client and other key
project technical staff to ensure project objectives are met and
customer satisfaction is high.
Responsible for the quality, budget, and timeline of data conversion software implementation tasks
Improve and develop new standard methodologies for performing data conversions
Perform as client solution consultant to fully understand needs of the client and accommodate in the scope of the contract
Lead the data conversion project team (experienced and
contractors) in execution of software implementation data conversion
tasks
Refine existing and establish new metrics to measure the success of the project data conversion
Develop and maintain tools to be used to ensure the data conversion quality targets are met
Incorporate new technologies in the data conversion process to improve efficiencies
Interact with software implementation client as domain expert
Act as an example of proactive based culture and change agent to continuously improve the data conversion process
Perform as active leader in technologies and customer needs utilizing interaction with other technical groups
Use external customer feedback and satisfaction surveys to identify opportunities and develop solutions to improve processes
Provide input to Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to
shape the data conversion portion of the software implementation
offering
Develop knowledge of client business domain and apply to data conversion service to demonstrate added value
Interface with software development, software configuration, training, and support teams as domain expert
Interface with customer to understand existing data
environment, plan data conversion, collect source material, and resolve
issues with provided data
Evaluate customer provided data for completeness and gaps to data required for software implementation
Coordinate data migration effort with other project consultants who may gather data during the software implementation process
Train others in data conversion processes / practices and provide feedback for development planning
Use planning tools and review sessions to see obstacles around corners and develop mitigation plans.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical field
Relevant data analysis and conversion/migration in a software company (or division)
Technical background with roles progressing in responsibility
Knowledge of software life cycle and implementation process
Experience in software implementation and delivery
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional planning and organization skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
Strong technical background in SQL and database administration
Creative problem solving skills that can be applied to
complex problems and presented to the larger group in a manner that is
easily understood.
Successful history of implementing best practices, performance measurement, and developing key performance indicators
Travel 25% - both domestic and international.
Experience related to Oil & Gas Pipeline business
Experience working on a geographically distributed team
