The Hydraulic Analysis Engineer will be technically responsible for detailed hydraulic analysis of the Subsea Production Control System (PCS) design in accordance with customer specification.You will be involved in all stages of project lifecycle including FEED studies, working on tenders and New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Detailed hydraulic analysis of system design for Subsea Production Control System (PCS)
  • Specify hydraulic hoses and hydraulic power unit requirements
  • Creation of hydraulic analysis documents
  • Theoretical hydraulic analysis and impact of changes in temperature, pressure, size, length etc.
  • Technical liaison with other departments, customers and the supply base
  • Root cause failure investigations and technical reporting
  • Operational support throughout the life of the project and when the system is in service
  • Analysis of mechanical structures using Finite Element Analysis techniques.
  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, hydraulics or structural engineering
  • Specific engineering knowledge base within hydraulics, mechanical and thermo fluid elements
  • Academic or industry experience of undertaking hydraulic analysis
  • Competent in engineering mathematics.

Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements, including but not limited to  participating and assisting where necessary with any internal or external audits, ensuring the assigned area of work is kept to a good housekeeping standard, is clean and tidy at the end of each day, and engagement in the GE Global Star program for Subsea Controls.
