Responsible for Materials, Welding and NDE for Subsea controls projects scope of supply
Working within a team of Materials Engineers providing
support and guidance to project and design engineers in the field of
Materials and Process Engineering.
Overseeing Materials aspects of both 'in house designed' and 'bought out finished' equipment.
Ensuring conformance to Industry codes and best practices.
Materials Engineering resource for assigned subsea projects.
Consultancy to project teams and engineering in the fields of Materials, Welding & Non Destructive Testing
Reviewing and approving supplier documentation against industry code and project requirements.
Preparation of Procedural Instructions and technical reports.
UK and overseas travel will be required.
Background in Welding, Materials Testing, and Non Destructive Testing
Must be proactive, maintain a full workload and communicate regularly with team.
Able to communicate and present technical issues in a clear and concise manner - excellent verbal and written English.
Computer literate.
Must work within local and company regulations with respect to compliance and EHS at all times.
Significant experience of the subsea oil & gas industry in the field of materials and welding technology.
Experience of NDT methods such as UT/RT/MPI/DPI
Experience of subsea coating systems and Cathodic Protection
Familiarity with relevant national and international standards –ASME, ISO, NORSOK, DNV, NACE etc
Applications are encouraged from;
Experienced Metallurgists.
Individuals from an Inspection or Operations background wishing to move into a technical role.
Conversion training will be offered to applicants with aptitude and enthusiasm.
Applicants with relevant qualifications but limited experience may be considered for a more junior role.
