Supporting the Assembly and Maintenance Supervisor and Manager this position will carry out electrical maintenance to Mobile Water treatment equipment. The position will also include other routine maintenance tasks, construction/assembly operations and installation of containerised and trailerised equipment.
  • Working from a range of technical drawings to build, maintain and fault find electrical control panels, on site and in the field.
  • Complete facility based maintenance tasks, such as lighting repairs and replacement, moving power sources, changing distribution, hard wiring equipment, etc.
  • Install Electrical control systems into containers, trailers and mount to skids. Including lighting, direct on-line, instrumentation, pumps / motors, etc.
  • Provide electrical support to the regeneration plant.
  • Help in the creation and editing of electrical drawings for improvements, modifications and innovations.
  • Complete EHS training courses on an IT system and be involved in the EHS framework and work within its boundaries. To include risk assessment, lockout procedures, permits and more.
  • Complete regular PAT testing to ALL facility equipment to both schedule and requirements. This will also include the repairs to equipment found to be faulty and logging of results on an IT based system.
  • Complete testing of electrical circuits and panels, to ensure systems are safe and compliant with regulations.
  • To perform CE upgrades to existing equipment as per the requirement of the business
  • Some PLC modifications and fault finding in the regeneration plant, for sites, and on our control systems for mobile water treatment equipment
  • Use of Conduit both PVC and Steel, Trayworks and trunking.
  • Fault find, repair and install pumps in different environments such as chemical and water.
  • Provide cover and support over evenings and weekends if required to do so.
  • Visit Job sites to perform fault-finding, installation and repairs if required.
  • Work with instrumentation to help repair, maintain, calibrate and support the regeneration and field service teams
  • Working with qualified fitters, fabricator/welders and electricians in the production of company specific equipment for the water & power industry
  • Maintain the integrity of work rules and processes
  • Following EHS and Quality standards and suggesting possible improvements
  • Participate in trainings and team meetings and suggesting possible improvements
    The Electrician can be required to perform additional tasks not mentioned above in line with the business need.
  • NVQ3 in electrical based units
  • City And Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience in industrial electrical works
  • Previously worked in Industrial area, assembly or other operational role
  • Proved record of EHS and Quality awareness
  • Experience in the Water treatment industry is an advantage.
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection
  • PLC training or Experience
  • Drawing software training or experience
  • Experience of minor project management
  • Passport to safety or equivalent.
