The successful candidate will do the daily correction processing activities related to our Platform offering. The Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the processing related to corrections within a correction request.
Key Objectives of the Role:
As a member of the Global Wealth Services Operations Unit, the Corrections and Reversals Analyst is a member of a team of professionals responsible for the daily correction processing activities related to Global Wealth Services offering. The Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the processing related to corrections within a correction request. They ensure effective coordination with the various operating units covering; Securities Custody, Trade Processing and Settlement, Foreign Exchange, Fees, Corporate Action and Income, Reporting (Statements, Performance & Taxes), Reconcilement and Currency processes and functions. This position will require a versatile individual with the ability to perform technical and business activities as necessary in the correction process. This position has been designed to execute the corrective process through standardization, bringing about scale and improved risk reporting to all activities.
Position Requirements:
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the functional capabilities and the mitigations contained within the corrections and reversals processing solution.
  • Proactively recommend innovations and modifications which are in compliance with industry requirements and are consistent with corporate objectives and goals to improve operational processes, systems, policies and procedures.
  • Interface with Operating units and business units as required to provide proactive notification of changes to the corrections and reversals process including new software releases and additions or changes to existing workflow.
  • Ensure that all documentation relating to new processes associated with new services and platform releases is properly maintained.
  • Support the establishment of the operating environment responsible for corrections and reversals processing functions.
  • Participate in identifying, defining and implementing Quality Assurance processes used to support the correction and reversal processes within our Global Wealth Services offering.
  • Insure timeliness and accuracy of execution of GWS Operations tasks within the corrections and reversals processing team.

Other:
  • Keep Current – (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication and alignment of these with client business practices.
  • Maintenance and updating of internal systems/ data reference points in agreed format to ensure consistency and communication of relevant information within the team and ensure integrity of data.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects as required.

Technical Capabilities/Skills & Experience Required for the Role:
  • 1 or more years experience, with substantial exposure to corrections and reversals processing operations, in the following:
    • As an operations user, analyst, or technical specialist supporting investment processing applications or accounting systems.
    • Have an understanding of how processing is supported within Operations for several of following areas; Global Securities Custody, Trade Processing and Settlement, Foreign Exchange, Fees, Corporate Action and Income, Reporting (Statements, Performance & Taxes), Reconcilement and Currency processes and functions.
  • Knowledge of global securities processing, participants, and industry standard formats
  • Knowledge of security types including equity, fixed income and derivative instruments
  • Knowledge of investment vehicles including registered funds, hedge funds, separate accounts and private accounts a plus.
  • Understanding of relational database technology and workflow a plus.
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
