A leading Emerging Markets executive search firm, focusing on financial services both on sell-side and buy-side. The intern will work alongside our consultants in building up competitive intelligence around industries, companies and top executives, with the aim of delivering upon the clients' needs and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a leading university
  • Sound understanding of research methodology, ideally with a consulting/market research, competitive intelligence, financial services or recruiting focus
  • Genuine interest in the financial markets preferred
  • Experience working in a strong team-orientated, global environment
  • Ability to network with senior executives in the financial services industry either via the phone or through face to face meetings
  • Experience in querying and utilising industry-related databases, websites and other research related materials
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse data from different, disparate sources and delivering actionable research products for the team
  • Proactive, team player, self-starter, strong organizational skills
  • Diligent, entrepreneurial, committed to achievements
Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside executive search consultants in building up competitive intelligence around industries, companies and top executives, to help deliver upon the clients’ needs and objectives
  • Conduct macro-economic analysis of the core markets covered by the firm (Russia, CIS, CEE, Turkey, Greece, MENA, South Africa, Sub Saharan Africa, LATAM) as well as explore and research into new markets as requested by clients
  • Assist consultants in sourcing candidate ideas both through primary and online research, interviewing and telephone referencing
  • Compile macro and micro data on the financial services industry in order to build a solid analysis of the key players in each of the regions covered, their key strengths and weaknesses, direct competitors, financial stability
  • Participate in pre-pitch/origination researching and due diligence
  • Develop broad understanding of financial markets and specific product areas
