Team Lead / Manager Channel Pricing

Purpose of Job:

Reporting to the Snr Manager, EMEA Channel Pricing, this role is key within the EMEA Channel Business Operations.

The EMEA Partner Support Centre (PSC-EMEA) is a single point of contact for pre- and post-sales support to EMC Partners. Specifically the PSC is responsible for the enablement of Partners in their relationship with EMC, the end-to-end support of the Channel sales cycle, and the operational development and execution of Partner programs

This person will be required to become the Process Lead across multiple aspects of the PSC Operations portfolio to ensure the best possible service across multiple disciplines is provided.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Team will consist of approximately 7 direct reports; the role requires covering all aspects of people management from time and attendance to motivation and empowerment.

  • Lead, Coach, Mentor and Motivate a multi-skilled Pricing group in an empowered team-based environment, ensuring full engagement of team members.

  • Responsible for coordinating relevant system enhancement recommendations for EMEA

  • Use skills to successfully negotiate and resolve conflicts which may arise.

  • Focus areas:

ð Effective & Efficient Pricing execution to support the Partner & Field Sales Teams.

ð Continuously innovative review to enhance Processes and Procedures.

ð Share best practices / methodologies across EMEA.

ð Identify and drive recommendations on margin improvement opportunities.

ð Enhance business knowledge across Operations team to support a rapidly growing business in the Mid Market segment.

ð Monitor and develop the Key Performance Indicators for the group to ensure that customers expectations are constantly achieved


  • Ensuring EMEA Channel & Mid Market requirements are represented in all Global forums

  • Hold quarterly business reviews with Sales, EMEA Channel Management, Regional Partner Sales Manager, EMEA Deal Desk and Fin Ops on regional discounting trends.

  • Develop & support efficient business process in supporting our customer i.e.


    • Providing ‘self-service’ capability to Partner and Field Sales for certain ad-hoc queries.





Knowledge

· Candidates should be able to demonstrate extensive industry experience and have a proven track record of sales achievement including pricing evaluation and negotiation in the commercial mid-market.

· Knowledge and experience in Channel Sales essential.

· Strong Commercial Sense

· Strong Analytical Skills

· Strong Attention to Detail

· Proficiency in all business systems to include Channel Express (CXP), Direct Express (DXP), Salesforce (SFDC) and ERP systems desirable

· Ability to work on own initiative within a cross cultural team

· Experience in system enhancements desirable.

· Good understanding of the EMC Channel Landscape and the EMEA Sales process.

· Educated to Honors Degree Level in a Business discipline.

· Previous exposure to multi-national/international working environments desirable

· Previous People Management experience desirable.
