Our client is a Global leader in Asset Management focusing within the Global Co Invest, Secondaries and Fund of Funds markets. We are currently working with the London branch of the business to search for a German speaking Associate/VP with Tier 1 M&A experience
Our client is a Global leader in Asset Management focusing within the Global Co Invest, Secondaries and Fund of Funds markets. We are currently working with the London branch of the business who focus on the European markets
 The firm has had good success in raising capital globally with a recent addition of $1 billion to their Global Co Invest fund.
We are working specifically with the European coverage team based in London. Like the rest of the firm this team covers the full range of sectors across the market. It is a lean structure which means juniors get a good level of responsibility to seniors and portfolio companies. They work hand in hand with some of the largest Investors within Europe meaning the successful candidate will develop some great connections within the market..
The team is now looking for an Associate/VP to join the investment team to work across all stages of the investment cycle, including the evaluation of new target companies and execution of deals, through portfolio management and the ultimate exit of investments. The reason for the hire is due to a heavy pipeline of activity and significant extra work from new investments going forwards.
The role of an Associate/VP consists of;
Investment Execution
  • Development of financial models including forecasts, debt financing and equity structures
  • Returns and sensitivity analyses
  • Support in the preparation of investment documentation (internal and external)
  • Assisting in the commercial, financial and legal due diligence, debt financing process as well as management assessment
Portfolio Management
  • Analysis of potential acquisition targets and exit candidates
  • Support in mining the firm’s network for opportunities to assist the development and growth of the portfolio companies
  • Assist in the monitoring of existing investments
Requirements
  • A strong record of academic achievement, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree from a leading university
  • Fluency in German and experience working in the German markets.
  • 5 - 7  years of Investment Banking experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial modeling & valuations, including building models from scratch
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent commercial judgment and business acumen
  • Strong influencing and selling skills
