The Lead Systems Design Engineer will be technically responsible for System design in accordance with customer specification for Subsea Production Control System (PCS). You will be involved through all stages of project lifecycle including undertaking FEED studies, working on tenders and as Lead Systems Engineer within a project team

  • Generate System Design for Subsea Production Control system to produce a safe and serviceable specification for unit engineering, manufacturing and end-customer
  • Undertake conceptual technical study work as part of FEED (Front End Engineering Design)
  • Complete System Functional Design Specification (SFDS/FDS)
  • Complete system schematics for various engineering disciplines
  • Generate specification and testing documentation for unit engineering and manufacturing such as SIT (Site investigation test), FAT (Factory Acceptance test), EFAT (Extended Factory Acceptance test)
  • Chair System Design Review
  • Develop technical design proposals as part of tender process
  • Liaison with unit engineering, manufacturing and end-customer.

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Broad engineering knowledge base covering all engineering disciplines - electrical, mechanical, software, controls
  • System design experience (preferably in Oil & Gas industry)
  • Fully able to understand customer requirements and specifications
  • Previous experience of undertaking FEED studies
  • Previous experience of generating SIT (Site investigation test) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
  • Experience of completing System Functional Design Specification.
