As a key member of the Finance team
reporting to the Global Financial Controller you will support the
Structured Equity, Fixed Income and Structured Product businesses.

- To develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the products traded within Structured Equity, Fixed Income and Structured Products businesses.
- To translate product knowledge into correct account entries.
- To manage the balance sheets and bookings for these businesses and to contribute to the management of the profit and loss accounts.
- To contribute to month end and year end accounting requirements.
- To process and analyse large volumes of accounting data accurately and efficiently.
- To develop constructive working relationships with the relevant front office teams in order that they are engaged in the accounting process.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years of recent experience in a Structured Equity, Fixed Income or Structured Product business.
- Understanding of UK financial regulatory environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting systems – preferably Hyperion.
- Excellent IT skills particularly with Excel and Access.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
- Experience of working within a commercial and fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to engage business stakeholders on the necessary accounting issues.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and to meet every deadline.
- Motivated and flexible team player.
