Business Analyst Location: Edinburgh Salary: Competitive rewards package
Standard Life Investments may already be a leader of the industry, with a growing asset base and an expanding global reach. Yet we have plenty of room for transformation. Because staying successful and working at the leading edge of investments demands constant evolution. As a Business Analyst, you will have a central role to play in driving that change - by providing the expertise and insight that will shape and drive the future of our business.
Our business analysis team works right across the business, at every level, giving this role broad responsibilities and lasting impact. Some projects may focus on technology-related issues, while others might involve processes in the company as a whole. And while you’ll be aligned to a portfolio of related projects you will also have lots of opportunities to influence initiatives across the wider organisation.
Whatever the project, your impact should be the same: you’ll articulate problems, define requirements and devise solutions to deliver improved processes, added efficiency or increased profitability. In the process, you’ll not only make use of a wide range of analysis tools and techniques, you’ll also make the most of the people around you – by building strong working relationships with business teams and fellow analysts and experts.
With a background in business analysis, you should have worked on both IT and non-IT projects, while your track record should include some time within investment management. You will be an experienced business analysis and it would be beneficial that you have experience of process analysis and data modelling skills to glean valuable insights from complex information – with proven experience of CRM systems like Salesforce, large scale data programme and, ideally, an understanding of data warehouse and CADIS/Markit EDM and/or Netik/VistaOne. It’s also important that your understanding of the industry stretches across the front to back investment management business.
The role comes with a competitive salary and benefits package, and represents a real opportunity to take a step in your career in Edinburgh – whether it is a change of lifestyle, commitments or you just fancy a change you will be joining one of the most successful asset management companies in the UK market place.
You must be able to work within the UK
