Description

Overview

We are looking for senior BI Analyst-Developer , with high level of software development expertise and experience of working within Investment Management.

The role is based at the BNY Mellon offices in central London as part of the CRM & Marketing Technology group.

To succeed in this role you will demonstrate expert knowledge in the technical design and implementation of front end BI reports and interfaces using BusinessObjects XI suite of tools and datawarehousing. You have a strong passion for technology and have a track record of success working in a collaborative, team-based environment. Experience with a broad range of software components/frameworks will be advantageous.

Job Specification

Range of Activities

Working with clients on analysing problems and documenting scope & solutions

Design, coding and testing of a range of Asset Management application and services

Provision of support, guidance and training regarding development best practices

Providing expertise to offshore development groups on BI and datawarehousing

Participation in Agile scrum based software development model

Working within the team and clients on building project delivery and resource plans

Develop strong relationships with internal client base to understand business model and help identify and support requirements






Personal Specification

Technology Skills & Experience

5+ years experience in a frontend Data Warehouse development

Expert in Business Objects Reporting

Experience in advanced Business Objects report & universe development in BO XI3.1 and BO4.0

Experience in migrating BI applications from BO XI3.1 to BO 4.0

Great SQL/PLSQL skills on Oracle and SQL Server

Experience with Dimensional Modelling

Hands-on experience with BI dashboards using Xcelisus 2008, SAP Dashboard 4.0

Hands-on experience with popular BI application SDK frameworks (JAVA,.net)

Experience with Mobile BI implementation and technologies

Advocate of agile engineering principles

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a strong Computer Science related Degree or equivalent

Ideally, the successful candidate will have at least three years of professional development within an Investment Management company, although alternative industry experience will be considered
