A fast growing entrepreneurial business located in the city centre of Edinburgh has a new opportunity for a financial modeller who wants to be part of a rapidly expanding and evolving property fund management company.
The models you build will need to be manipulated and developed so that basic assumptions can be changed and amended with ease to ensure thorough investigation of any proposed transaction.
The position is client facing, as role holder you would be expected to participate in meetings with potential clients and financial institutions, and will be required to compile and generate the appropriate financial information to investigate any proposed transaction, undertaking research regarding the financial data required to support any proposed debt purchase.

- Creation of appropriate transaction models including methodology and mathematical hypotheses
- Develop and implement new transaction tools and measures
- Stress and scenario testing of proposed transactions
- Risk calculations for external clients
- Present quantitative information to clients, consultants and internal customers
- Liaison with clients to discuss and investigate possible investment mandates
- Collate potential portfolio exposures information to highlight anomalies of proposed transactions
- Act as a centre of excellence for transaction process internally
- Provide support to business development process
- Contribute as required, to the broader investment activities, including portfolio review process
- Provide support on all proposed projects

- Knowledge and experience of transaction process
- Advanced Excel skills and will be required to build and develop complex models from scratch

- Further postgraduate or professional qualifications nature beneficial (e.g. CA)
