Newly created role within an asset manager going through a huge amount of growth and change. Opportunity to "own" the investment writing function for a new business entity. Will suit an experienced investment writer, or, an experienced asset management marcomms candidate interested in investment writing.
The Opportunity:
• Newly created opportunity to work within a hugely well respected asset management business which is going through an exciting period of growth and development

• Due to expansion and the launch of a new business entity, there is a requirement to hire an investment writer to service this new business stream

• Within this role you will “own” the investment writing responsibility for this new business entity, and this will include the generation of the core client reporting materials including quarterly reports, monthly commentaries and semi / annual reports

• There will be some generation of investment thought leadership pieces, however, this is a role focused in the first instance on the generation of copy for the core literature suite as defined by the channel marketing teams

• Other internal stakeholders will include investment professionals / client services / web team, PR / Corporate Comms to ensure core messages are channelled through the press to create positive and consistent news coverage through this firm’s continued development and expansion

• Participate within ad-hoc project work; ensure full regulatory compliance of investment writing content, processes and procedures
Your Experience:
• You will possess a strong record of academic achievement, combined with demonstrable “writing skills”

• This is a rather unusual opportunity and I can explain more when we speak. The role could suit a candidate who has demonstrable marketing / RFP experience and is looking to move within an investment writing role

• If you’re an experienced investment writer, it is worth pointing out that this role in the first instance is focused around the writing concerned with the generation of core client reporting materials, rather than “thought leadership” pieces

• The role also requires the proof reading / tweaking of investment literature that has been written by other fund management businesses as they will be involved in managing “white label” products for and on-behalf of this new business entity (again, can explain further when we speak)

• So, in summary, this is a fantastic opportunity for a bright candidate with proven asset management marketing / writing experience to make a move into more of a focused “investment writer” role, or, an experienced investment writer who thoroughly enjoys the generation of copy for core client reporting materials, as opposed to a being only interested in writing “thought leadership” articles

• You must possess excellent verbal communication skills as well as demonstrable writing skills – this role will require extensive communication with key internal AND external stakeholders

• A “can do” attitude, combined with the ability to work relatively autonomously where required. Plus, the desire to work within a business that is going through an exciting period of growth and development which may lead to processes requiring developing and finessing
The Company:
• London based asset manager with an enviable track record of success

• With regard to their core products they are considered one of the best in the marketplace

• The business is entering into very exciting phase of growth with a mission to grab a significant amount of market share from their competitors

• Roles within the business are typically broad in function and high in the level of responsibility and profile that they offer
