My client, an actively fundraising
Private Equity boutique focussed on renewable energy assets and clean
technology businesses, is looking to bring in a Finance Manager to
report directly to the CFO.
The Role:
Working
in small team with a uniquely flat structure this role will report
directly into the CFO and offer candidates the opportunity to join a
fast paced business with a steep learning curve in a role that will
touch on all aspects of LLP and Fund Finance as well as having to
face off to investors and senior board member.
Specific Duties:
- Responsibility for all of the accounting and finances of all related entities and its Funds, including authorisation of all payments with the Managing Partners, preparation of annual budgets, preparation and review of monthly management accounts, group consolidations and creation of long term forecasts sign-off with the Managing Partners on expenses, allocation of cash reserves etc.
- Managing the review of all fund accounts, and capital accounts with the fund administrators.
- Supervising the annual audits for the Funds and the general partners and related entities (full liaison with all external auditors and covering all of the Group entities)
- Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of any investor queries and/or side letter requests
- Managing, creating and distributing quarterly reports to Limited Partners and presentations for Annual Investor meetings and Advisory Committee meetings
- Creation of ad hoc reports to existing and potential Limited Partners from time to time
- Record keeping with respect to press, breaches and complaints registers, correspondence with Limited Partners, etc.
- Preparation of financial schedules for fund-raising, including expected return profiles, portfolio reserves estimates, portfolio company statistics, etc.
- Responsibility for all areas of compliance for the Partnership, acting as Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the purposes of the Financial Conduct Authority
- Review and negotiation of all contracts involving the business including office leases, equipment leases, telecommunication contracts, consultants, lawyers, etc.
- Negotiations with HMRC or any other relevant tax authorities
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) ideally with experience auditing Asset Management businesses.
- Additional experience working within an in house accounting role specific to the alternatve asset management sector.
- Understanding and experience of hands on accounting including double entry bookkeeping, as well as the full cycle of statutory and management accounts.
- Strong academic record with a curious and ambitions mind focussed on process improvement
