The Angola Operations Finance Manager is a newly created position in order to lead the in-country finance support for Oil & Gas Subsea Systems EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts. In 2012, Subsea has been awarded $1B+ EPC deals and the goal with a local Operations finance team is to lead the operationalization of these contracts from where they are being executed.
Based out of Bristol with EPC Finance team, you will have responsibilities and oversight over Angola as a whole and will report directly the O&G Angola CFO.
  • Setup and lead the Operations finance teams for Angola
  • Be the key interface between EPC contract management and finance teams
  • Be responsible and coordinate all EPC execution in country from a Finance standpoint
  • Support the operationalization of all EPC contracts and coordinate functionally (HR, IT, OTR, Sourcing, Legal) to ensure goals setup with customers are achieved
  • Lead the setup of the new processes in country and support operations for three EPC contracts
  • Lead the Project Margin Reviews for Angola
  • Continue developing local talent and a strong GE culture in country, which becomes extremely important as teams are so new to GE.

As an OTR finance manager it is also expected to display accountability for functional, business, and broad O&G objectives. In this role it will be key to design, implement and integrate the in-country processes in Angola into already established global processes.
Also the Finance Manager will play a key role in the long-term strategy planning and will ultimately own contract finance metrics such as cash, unbilled revenue, local inventory, LDs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven experience with financial operations, project accounting and execution
  • Experience of driving process implementation within Finance.
