Provide
an independent assessment from a credit perspective of lending made in a
number of the European portfolios / entities. Lead and manage loan
reviews and perform risk assessment and loan review planning. Role is
part of the Europe Loan review team which reports into the GE Capital
Internal Audit organization (400+ internal auditors and loan review
specialists globally).
This individual will:
Execute loan reviews, prepare and present findings
Continually innovate and develop review processes to produce effective coverage and proactive metrics to detect issues.
Conduct audit reviews to assess quality of credit decisions
and effectiveness of account monitoring, portfolio management and
problem loan identification; evaluate compliance with corporate lending
policies to validate integrity of corporate risk classification
assessments.
Track and communicate open audit items to ensure timely closure.
Effectively identify and communicate best practices for process improvement.
Develop methodologies to incorporate regulatory or other changes impacting policy requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 8 years of experience in risk
management with proven experience in Credit Risk (underwriting,
portfolio management, collections) or Loan Review of a commercial
portfolio in a Bank.
Minimum 4 years of experience in structured underwriting
and/or factoring - able to demonstrate solid grasp of secured lending
underwriting practices, legal contract documentation and title
perfection for deals.
Eligibility Requirements:

Must be willing to work out of a GE office.
Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
Must be fluent in English.
Knowledge of loan classification policy and practice
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance or related field
Knowledge of corporate finance, commercial lending practices and problem credit remediation
Experience working in credit review for a regulated entity or a regulator
Experience managing across business functional teams in a global matrix management setting
Strong communication skills in all directions of the organization.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to effectively present to senior management
