investment manager seeks a data management professional with people
management experience and a solid reference data background, to include
vendor management. Experience gained from an investment management
environment is preferred although applications will be welcomed from
candidates with relevant experience gained from any sector within the
financial services industry.
The successful candidate will be results orientated and delivery focused, with a high level of numerical and analytical ability and significant data management experience and expertise. A high level of technical ability is essential, ideally to include both SQL and Excel VBA and this will be complemented by strong communication and presentation skills and the proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a constantly changing environment. Role with involve managing various enterprise-wide projects and previous project management experience with a significant data component is prerequisite to ensure successful and timely delivery of these business critical projects.
The role focuses on the management of reference and instrument data and will involve the development and ongoing maintenance of a superior level of data management to a variety of business units throughout the organisation. There will also be a requirement to manage the firm's relationships with data vendors and to plan and oversee improvements to processes and services on an ongoing basis.
