Job Summary & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:• Be part of a global development team responsible for the analysis, design and development of various user facing applications.
• Constant and significant interaction with clients and managers, including communicating project status and technology strategy.
• Project estimating and playing a significant role in both business and technical systems design
SKILL / EXPERIENCE
The following technical skills are considered mandatory:
• Java: 5+ years
• Object-oriented development: 5+ years
• Relational database experience, preferably UDB
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Test Driven Development
The successful candidate will also:
• Demonstrate strong problem solving & analytical skills. You are hands-on and take ownership of issues to ensure follow-through.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements
• Strong communication skills are essential; you should feel comfortable working with a global group that both welcomes and challenges new ideas.
• Client facing with experience of successfully partnering with clients to deliver benefits to the business.
• A proven track record in object oriented design and development, both client and server side, backed up by real-project implementation experience.
• Working understanding of development lifecycle, development methodologies and best practices
• Good understanding of financial concepts and terminology
• Self-starter – must be able to take loosely expressed problems or requirements and progress these to deliver well analyzed solutions
• .NET/C# experience would be beneficial but is not essential
