The Sales Account Manager - Drilling Systems demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. The position will be based in Aberdeen.
Sales of Hydril and Vetco Gray New Build & Repair products, as assigned, to local customers
Calling on assigned key customer accounts and maintaining positive relationships to help foster growth and future success
Work with customers to determine appropriate product/service solutions
Cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE
Assume overall responsibility for complete customer satisfaction
Travel as required for sales calls, customer support and services
Working with inside sales in order to ensure proper quotation, order entry and delivery of products to assigned customer base
Managing and overseeing the Overhaul and Repair process of assigned customer equipment
Effectively forecast sales and report to senior management on a regular basis
Provide sales and customer support outside of assigned geographical territory on an as-needed basis
Provide liaison between customers and Manufacturing, Engineering and Senior Sales personnel to provide service and support as required.
Bachelor’s degree and/or previous experience in drilling / production industry
Willingness to travel as required
Must possess clean driving record
Proven experience in the oil and gas drilling production industry
Proven ability to manage others and work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and oral communication skills
Willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges and to grow the local business as part of a global company growth initiative.
Strong knowledge of local marketplace and clients.
