Work with the existing team and help execute on the strategy specific for the commercial sector and take ownership for success. This consultative sales role specifically targets the commercial market sector with innovative product ranges including Lumination & LED products, and will provide customers with the relevant energy efficient lighting solutions. The aim is to maximise specification orders and develop further growth and profitability.
  • Business development of lighting controls products and projects;
  • Proactively builds a pipeline and owns relationships with customers, contractors and supply partners with the purposed of specifying and selling GE lighting solutions;
  • Present the benefits of your recommendations in a successful sales proposition supported by a life cycle cost model;
  • Support all sales channels/vertical markets with the development and inclusion of controls in bids;
  • Drive cross-selling opportunities for controls;
  • Regional SME for controls;
  • Help internal technical functions to build and shape controls product portfolio;
  • Provide training & mentoring to the sales team;
  • Support our marketing team to create a consistent message to the target audience based on our portfolio strength.
  • Education
  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering
    Experience & Knowledge
  • Experienced in delivering controls solutions to meet the needs of the customer;
  • Extensive commercial experience of at least 5 years combined with an in-depth technical understanding of lighting solutions and controls;
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth;
  • Up to date knowledge of lighting controls, lighting market, key players/customers and the competition;
  • Experienced in managing P&L;
  • Leadership experience.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and influencing skills;
  • Proven analytical skills, able to understand the business dynamics, strategy and potential of various types of our customers;
  • Tenacious approach along with a self motivated attitude and ability to perform well under pressure and deliver results;
