Primary purpose of role is to ensure O&G achieves and maintains appropriate allocation of insurable risk within its contracts;
the contracts have appropriate and effective insurance requirements; and the insurance obligations in the contracts are met by both O&G and its counterparty
Responsibilities include:
  • Management of standard insurance contract terms to ensure they remain contemporary; aligned with O&G’s risk appetite; and are in line with GE’s global insurance programs and standards; 
  • Support transactions via review, revision and approval of insurance terms in contracts pursuant to the delegation of authority; 
  • Work with GE’s Corporate Insurance group to manage exceptions and unique insurance issues; 
  • Manage compliance with and documentation of insurance terms and conditions in contracts; 
  • Develop and provide tools and training to business resources engaged in customer and supplier contracts; 
  • Support insurance claims to facilitate resolution and lead recovery from third parties; 
  • Assume management of any legacy insurance programs and related collateral from acquisitions; 
  • Develop processes around JV’s, including due diligence and coordination with Corporate Insurance relative to insurance.
  • Strong experience in insurance field, preferably focused in the Marine and Energy sector 
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Finance or related field. 
  • Prefer Masters in business or law degree.
