The Engineering department based at the Groby, Leicester site has responsibility for design and development of pressure sensing equipment worldwide. We are looking for three interns to commence in summer 2014 to work as part of our 100-strong Engineering Team. This will be an internship with real responsibilities of design in a fun environment. If you have great communication skills, are enthusiastic and are looking for a placement opportunity – we welcome your application.
  • Development of analogue and digital pressure transducers, pressure controllers or portable electrical/pressure calibrators 
  • Qualification testing of new products 
  • Performing engineering investigations, reporting the results and drawing conclusions 
  • Responding to customer enquiries 
  • Supporting the Electronics and Software Design Engineers in various customer projects and new product designs.
  • Working towards a Degree in Electronic and/or Software Engineering 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Strong practical skills (e.g. soldering, prototyping) 
  • Ability to work to deadlines and solve problems under pressure 
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.


• Working knowledge of analogue electronics, op-amp circuits, circuit design and analysis and/or
• Experience of C/C++/C# in a Windows or embedded environment
  • Understanding of pressure transducers and compensation techniques 
  • Working knowledge of digital electronics including EEPROMs and microcontrollers and embedded software 
  • Industrial/graphic design (e.g. icon and user interface design).
