This role will be responsible for developing and driving the Global Sourcing castings strategy for the Masoneilan Valve Product Line across multiple sites & work with casting suppliers on short and long term projects with substantial business impact. Locations are open.
Develop and execute a long term, global casting commodity strategy for a moderate group of suppliers, with medium level of engineering complexity and annual volume of ~$50MM USD
Develop comprehensive supplier contractual and strategic relationships and utilize appropriate commodity hedging strategies, as appropriate
Support business planning sessions, including supplier strategy, volume & definition –GPB, SII, OP plan
Own and manage key supplier’s performance with regular rhythm to ensure long term alignment
Develop and lead negotiation strategies to achieve stated goals and objectives
Drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management in accordance with the business strategy
Function as a liaison between Supplier, Sourcing, Engineering, and Quality teams to address Cost of Quality (COQ) issues
Identify and develop Masoneilan Casting Supply Chain globally
Support Sourcing demand to execute RFQ (Request For Quotation) packages, negotiate Pricing and Supply Agreements; implement Terms & Conditions in line with sourcing strategy for commodity
Interface with global sites on supplier fulfillment
Interface with the business on issues of forecasting, planning, and strategy alignment
The product process will cover: casting, cutting, welding, machining, coating, and NDT processes
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited College or University (or 6 years of Sourcing experience)
At least 3 additional years of Sourcing experience with Castings
At least 1 year of Global Sourcing experience
At least 1 year of NORSOK Standards related experience
Cross-functional and International team experience
Demonstrated negotiation skills, contract development, and business law knowledge
High motivation and influencing skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong interpersonal / facilitation skills
Proactive and positive self-starter with energy, enthusiasm, and ability to execute
Experienced working skills with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and web based tools
Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time
Advanced degree from an accredited university or college
At least 10 years of Sourcing experience
At least 5 year of global Sourcing leadership experience
Experience with Sand, Investment, and Centrifugal castings
Project management experience
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Ability to decode engineering prints / specifications / manufacturing processes
Demonstrated ability to work independently and at remote locations without direct managerial oversight
Project management experience
Previous experience with sourcing projects in low cost regions
Knowledge & use of Six Sigma tools and Green Belt certification (GE Employees only)
