Responsible for training and development of Angolan technicians in relation to Extended Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Receivable Testing and Housekeeping procedures for Subsea Xmas Tree and associated equipment. Define work plans for Angolan Technicians to meet day-to-day short-term objectives, resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning
  • Train and develop Angolan technicians in relation to Extended Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Receivable Testing and Housekeeping procedures for Subsea Tree and associated equipment
    Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times and general housekeeping is maintained to a high standard. 
  • Effectively lead and promote a culture of excellence in all aspects of Quality, Health, and Safety
    and Environment performance. Lead by example and ensure active participation and full support of
    all management, employees, customers and suppliers. 
  • Able to identify the most appropriate form of communication and ensure the information is shared in a clear, timely manner. Actively listen and encourage an open, two-way dialogue between parties.
  • Communicate effectively at appropriate levels in the organisation and respond appropriately to feedback. 
  • Able to contribute to the team, either as part or as a leader. Coach team members and ensure team and individual meets their goals. Recognises the importance of diversity and promotes a climate of collaboration. 
  • Set objectives and goals; break down work into process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks; measure team and individual performance against goals and evaluates results.
  • HNC - HND in an engineering discipline or relevant industry experience 
  • Completed a Mechanical engineering apprenticeship 
  • Experience on subsea engineering 
  • Assembly and test of GE Oil & Gas Subsea Trees and associated equipment.
  • Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred 
  • Six Sigma training is preferred 
  • Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects 
  • Good working knowledge of Company Codes of Practice, Quality Procedures, Company safety and environmental procedures and ability to access and retrieve information form Visibility. 
  • Calibrate and commission special to type test equipment. 
  • Ensure test documentation is correct and completed to date before, during and on completion of testing.
