As a Store Maintenance Team Member you will be responsible for general maintenance of building including painting and mudding, various carpentry projects, and maintain all of the fixtures and equipment in the store. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
Duties:
Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the store looks great at all times. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.
General maintenance of building including painting and mudding, various carpentry projects, and other projects, using small power tools and hand tools.
Maintains inventory of light bulbs, and changes all bulbs as needed.
Acts as Back-up Receiver during Receiver’s days off and vacations.
Maintains accurate journal of equipment serviced, including service company, date, and other pertinent information.
Acts as store contact for service vendors.
Maintains inventory of various ceiling tiles, and replace as needed.
Keep all work areas clean and ensure facility cleanliness in all common areas and exterior.
Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe lone work practices. Must understand the requirement for hot works permits/works permits
Operates all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Supervisor.
Complete a daily walk of all facility rooms throughout the store, using a log to keep track of issues with pumps/AC units/breakers etc
Liaise with UK Regional Construction Co-ordinator on over-seeing the routine maintenance programmes for equipment & store facilities
Maintains inventory of store paint supplies
Maintains ladder & kick-stool registry for the store
Change all AHU filters/FCU filters as required
Recharges softeners with salt and keeps salt log for cooling towers
Performs monthly temp testing of domestic water supplies
Requirements:
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
Ability to prioritize, to make good decisions on when and how to repair various things, and multi-task.
Ability to work independently yet have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and Store Leadership
Knowledgeably communicate with service vendors.
Ability to understand building maintenance needs.
Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Knowledge of facility repair work and ability to use resources to find answers on maintenance.
Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Bend and lift loads. Push and pull carts.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
