Description
The Early Engagement Consulting Team (EEC) Manager is responsible improving the Actual versus Projected trading performance for newly won clients. They will achieve this through ensuring that the clients’ onboarding and product training requirements are fulfilled to the highest degree. To deliver this, you'll manage a team of 8 executives that will be located within the local markets, who will provide the EEC support in conjunction with the local sales teams. The EEC team is a newly formed team and one of the first goals of the Manager, will be to build the EEC team. The Manager will be working with the sales organisation in defining the key performance metrics and measures of success that will be used to measure the team’s performance.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Directly responsible for driving an improvement in the time taken from sales win to first trade across GBT EMEA
- Directly responsible for driving an improvement in the clients use of their online booking tools or any other platform purchased (GetThere, Cliqbook, AeTM; as well as eXplore, axis@work, PTA etc), with a particular focus on the travel bookers, through client training
- Develop best practices for EEC to be used across EMEA and ensure that they are adopted in each of the local markets
- Explore the opportunity to turn client training activities into a revenue generating exercise
- Build and manage a team of 8 executives that will be located in the local markets with a dotted line into the local heads of sales
- Coordinate with the local heads of sales to ensure that the workload for each of the 8 executives is appropriate and prioritized according to the needs of the business
- Develop and provide management reporting to provide insights into the successes and challenges for the EEC team
- Be a central owner for collecting and resolving systemic and ad-hoc barriers to the continued improvements in EEC.
Qualifications
- A proven people leader with good commercial acumen and good understanding of driving operational improvements
- A self-starting dynamic individual that can build and manage a geographically diverse team
- A proven ability to work well in a matrix environment and balance a leadership role with the need to support the EEC executives in providing dotted line support to the local sales teams
- Must possess strong customer focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to challenge traditional thinking, take risks and drive innovative capabilities
- Ability and confidence to interact with and influence at senior levels across American Express
- Must be a capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, often under tight timeframes.
