Our client, one of the leading global, independent asset managers operating worldwide with a strong UK and European presence, has a requirement for a Global Voting Coordinator for their office in Edinburgh
The Company:
This is one of the leading global, independent asset managers operating worldwide with a strong UK and European presence. They are a FTSE 100 company operating on-the-ground in countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

The company has a sole focus on asset management, including equities, fixed income, property and multi-asset portfolios. They have straightforward, transparent investment approaches that stress intensive, first-hand research and a long-term view.

The Role:
This role sits within a small team that provides proxy voting services for the company’s institutional and retail funds.
  • The role involves regular liaison with Fund Management teams to ensure accurate and timely voting, with Custodians to recall securities subject to stock lending and with service providers to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Coordination of voting decisions to ensure consistency of instructions across funds where possible.
  • Implement individual voting policy requirements where necessary.
  • Maintain an audit trail of voting decisions.
  • Produce regular reports to both Client Services and Fund Managers.
  • Arrange letters of representation to enable fund managers to attend shareholder meetings.

The Person:
  • High levels of accuracy and numeracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Able to demonstrate self-discipline and work to strict timescales.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Administrative or clerical experience preferred.
  • Further education preferred but not essential.
  • Work well within a team.
