Manager will act as a business partner to multiple leaders for the
Subsea Products & Projects business and IT team, a client group size
of ~350+ employees with the majority in the UK and Oil&Gas global
locations. The role will also drive global and UK initiatives on
retaining and developing key talent.
HR
Manager will provide advice and counsel to management and employees to
ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures and practices,
ensuring 100% compliance.
Provide strategic business partner support to several Subsea Systems leaders
Support the Employee population with general HR matters
Serve as a partner to Subsea leaders as they develop cross-functional workforce plans to staff their teams
Ensure engagement of site, functional and HR team in staffing and mobilization process
Manage staffing / mobilization meetings
Partner with Subsea Projects Leadership to operationalize UK COE project execution model
Work with Leadership to develop training plans to up-skill organization
Performance Management: Lead the Salaried Employee
Evaluation process (Session C) as well as, Goals & Objectives and
associated processes for the employees of multiple groups
Lead key local human resources activities for clients
including new employee orientation, effective communications, employee
relations and HR compliance
Collaborate with HRMs on compensation and benefits management, including salary surveys and industry benchmarking
Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a
positive work environment, which encourages full use of diverse talents
and abilities; act as an employee advocate; drive various corporate and
division business initiatives.
Compensation Management: Lead Salary planning and incentive planning
Work very closely with other HRMs to deploy specific functional policies
Provide advice, council, and support for benefits, training, compliance programs and HR information systems
Provide advice to Subsea Leaders on the employment laws and interpretations and assist with Disciplinary processes
Ensure Statutory and regulatory compliance with the HR
aspects of EHS on site, including any and all regulatory obligations to
the Regional Govt authorities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Human Resources and CIPD qualified
HR generalist experience preferably gained in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Ability to coach and develop leaders
Strong working knowledge of UK Labour and employment laws
Excellent people assessment and judgment skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to operate under ambiguous situations; demonstrated clarity of thought and action
Must be willing to submit to background check as needed
Willingness to Travel globally as required
Working knowledge and use of excel
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to influence at Senior levels of the organization
Strong Project Management skills
Master’s Degree/Diploma in Human resources
Prior GE Experience in Human Resources
Background in the Oil & Gas industry
Experience working in a multi-national environment
Previous HR experience supporting a global client group
Knowledge of HR systems such as Oracle HR
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment
