    The Intervention Project Manager is a key role within the Subsea Services Centre of Excellence and will be responsible for delivery of projects within the Subsea Services business of GE Oil & Gas for 'Intervention' Projects and Programs.

    The Project Manager (PM) has the responsibility to ensure the delivery of the assigned project as defined by the Customer’s Order or Contract, fulfilling both Customer and Business objectives. The Project Manager is the primary interface between the Company and the Customer, and is responsible for developing and maintaining a good working relationship with the Customer and its representatives.


    The Project Manager shall be responsible for leading and developing the internal project team in support of achieving the agreed project goals, ensuring all relevant procedures and processes are followed:



    1. Ensure on-time and on-budget execution of subsea services projects including customer requisition, NPI and rental/ capital build equipment.
    2. Following ITO handover establish the required resource and clearly communicate goals and objectives for the business to meet.
    3. Responsible for project CM through close management of costs (material and labour), securing VO opportunities and avoidance of LDs. A strong financial control rhythm shall be established.
    4. Use Lessons Learned to drive continuous improvement throughout the OTR phase and ensure they are fed into ITO.
    5. If required support the ITO organisation in the capture of new business.
    6. Mobilise the required engineering and support resources and ensure they are organised efficiently.
    7. Ensure the EHS and Quality culture and processes are firmly established and used.
    8. Build the Project Team into a dedicated and enthusiastic unit for the task through exhibiting good management practice, leading by example, setting and monitoring the standards expected for other team members and holding team building activities as required. Establish clear roles and responsibilities within the project team, delegating authority where appropriate.
    9. Establish and maintain open and positive communication with the customer, the internal business and other stakeholders.
    10. Agree the project schedule with supporting functions such that it meets customer delivery with an appropriate risk level.
    11. Monitor and report project performance including safety, quality, progress and cost. Ensure strong mitigation plans are deployed if required for any recovery.
    12. Effectively manage internal Variation Orders and Customer instigated Change Orders, including. Consider schedule, safety and environmental impacts of all changes (in addition to cost) and maximise opportunities for margin growth through the change process. Ensure all agreed Variation Orders are correctly reflected in the Sales Order.





    The role must interface with the Customer, Functional Teams and Regional Managers as required across both Subsea CoE and Services.

  • Previous experience as senior Project Team members.
  • Exposure to high capital value projects in a multi-disciplined environment.
  • Knowledge of subsea production systems
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to deliver within a matrix organisation.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrates high standards of ethics and values following company compliance program and is recognised as a direct and generates mutual trust and respect.
  • Communication both within GE and with customers will be critical to success. Good presentation and written skills are required, to enable clear and concise delivery of information to senior staff, customers and contractors.
  • Demonstrates a readiness to make decisions, take the initiative and originate action, but knows when to either delegate up or down.
  • Degree in Engineering or Business discipline.
  • Travel globally may be required.
    Oil and Gas or other relevant industry experience.
