to the UK Credit Operations Leader, the position is a key risk
assessment and management role within the overall Credit function.

| •
Performance management of a regional team of Business Analysts who will
be direct reports of the Regional Audit Team Leader (Coaching,
Training, Mentoring, Performance Appraisal, Quality Reviews, Individual
performance effectiveness).
• Supporting the UK Credit Operations Leader with respect to the general responsibilities of the UK Lending audit function (Overall team effectiveness, Metrics reporting and Communicating the successes and promoting the UK Audit team’s critical role to the wider UK business). • Conducting New Business Reviews (due diligence) for proposed invoice discounting and asset based facilities within the Commercial and Corporate segments. • Conducting Existing business reviews (client audits) within the Commercial and Corporate segments. • Minimizing any Audit delinquencies via effective diary management & logistical planning. • Deputize for the Credit Operations Leader during absence as required. • Role assumes 67% field audit work/ 33% team leader and general management responsibilities. • Travel and overnight stays throughout the UK and Europe is required as part of the role. • New Business Reviews –Commercial and Corporate Segments: Visiting prospective clients and working closely with the Commercial and Underwriting Teams, the individual will control the end to end survey process & ensure survey decisions are consistent with the UK’s Credit Policy. The individual must provide independent collateral, financial and systems expertise, conduct appropriate testing to determine suitability of the proposed facilities and take responsibility for the timely delivery of due diligence reports that quantify risk and execution issues whilst providing clear recommendations of possible solutions and articulation of risk issues to the Underwriting and Commercial teams. The role requires capacity planning and working closely with the wider Audit Team to ensure timely resource availability, thereby minimizing any delinquencies and meeting customer expectations. • Existing Business Reviews- Commercial and Corporate Segments: Visiting existing Corporate and Commercial clients at a frequency consistent with credit policy to undertake collateral tests to ensure the facility is operated in accordance with the legal documentation and conditions of approval and that continued financing is structured suitably and remains appropriate. Recommendations are required as to the levels of financing, collateral eligibility and adequacy of retentions. Working closely with the Portfolio and Credit teams, these recommendations need to be communicated concisely and clearly to all levels of management within Capital UK. •Other Duties: Working with Credit Operations Leader to: -Identify the needs for the wider audit team -Plan and effect the training & coaching of Business Analysts within the team -Working with the team to ensure effective Diary Management and Logistical planning -Perform routine reviews of submitted audit reports (Quality Control, Training/Development and risk management assessment). -Represent the UK Audit team to support of special projects/initiatives, including ad-hoc duties when required. -Using appropriate communication mediums (e.g. Colab, Emails, Team meetings etc) to promote the successes of the UK Audit team and to enhance the awareness and key risk management benefits the UK audit team bring to Capital UK. | |
