The Farnborough Repair Cell leader will report to the global repair leader and will be responsible for driving repair revenue growth and continuous improvement in execution, delivery and customer satisfaction. They will drive excellence in EHS, quality and on time delivery. The repair cell leader will develop and drive growth initiatives, mentor and support all direct reports providing leadership, direction and issue resolution support.
  • Liaise closely with the CSR to track incoming RMA’s and ensure customers are provided with regular status and planned delivery updates. (support additional customer communications/meetings as required)
  • Monitor key metrics such as backlog, utilization, cycle, revenue and margin.
    Driving projects and taking appropriate action to manage continuous improvement
  • Partner with sales/service teams to drive and promote new growth initiatives/commercial offerings
  • Continually review with the repair coordinator repair progress, drive issue resolution in association with technical issues or parts shortages. Escalate, arrange meetings and pull in stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure that the repair team are following the repair process, booking all hours, completing documentation and adhering to QA steps
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of repair processes, cycle, capacity and bottle
    necks.
  • Drive cycle reduction……Drive mini-lean workouts working closely with Techs to address issues and drive cross functional improvements in cost and cycle.
  • Lead weekly production meeting with repair coordinator and repair Techs, drive & own action list tracking
  • Attend weekly metrics/performance review with global repairs leader and drive projects/actions as required
  • Partner with other repair leaders to share best practices and drive standardization
  • Monitor and manage repair quality and day to day excellence in EHS across the team
  • Manage training and development of all direct reports
  • Approve all OT hrs for direct reports
  • Work closely with supply chain to forecast future repairs spares demand/inventory levels
  • Aid supply chain in controlling SMI required to support periodic repairs.
  • Engineering degree from an accredited university/college or significant electronics manufacturing or repair management experience.
  • Significant experience in operations or supply chain management
  • Previous experience in leading small teams
  • Previous experience working in SAP
  • Manager with good communication skills.
  • Operations or Supply chain supervisory or business management experience
  • Specific knowledge and experience of Wireline tools/products
  • Experienced with SAP system
  • Electronics or business management qualification HNC/Degree level or equivalent proven work experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver multiple concurrent deliverables
  • Good communication and team work skills
  • Able to work on own initiative, to meet agreed objectives in a timely manner.
  • Good basic understanding of financial accounting, revenue, costs, margin, labour utilization etc.
