The
Senior Field Service Engineer - Integrated Turbines Compressor Controls
will work closely with the Controls Solutions Service Manager to
deliver Control Solutions turbine, compressor and mechanical field
installations and retrofit applications across in the UK and NW Europe.
In this role you will be responsible for customer based field service
applications, service excellence and the successful execution of all
projects across the project lifecycle to programme, budget, and quality
and custo
To
be a key member of an integrated Measurement and Control team for
project installations to include commercial operations, project
management and services.
To define services scope, budget, deliverables and
programme for the successful delivery of services project packages. To
lead and take ownership from cradle to grave services project packages
to agreed requirements and customer expectations and GE Quality
Standards.
To be responsible for the lead execution and delivery of
retrofit and installation projects to include turbine solutions
(Speetronic MkVI, Micronet, Atlas, and HMI Products), compressor
solutions (Integrated Turbine Compressor Control) and mechanical
solutions (high pressure servo upgrades, valve operators).
To prepare quotes, scope of works and deliverables in support of sales bids and proposals.
Plan, programme and schedule applications and services
activities in line with customer expectations with clear and
professional communications throughout
Manage service activities and deliver to required
timeframes and scope and assess performance. Review working practices to
develop a more efficient and cost effective way of working. Identify
and implement continuous improvement projects and initiatives to
increase productivity to reduce costs.
Timely completion of service reports on completion of project
Through the execution of field service applications,
identify Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) initiatives and projects that
will improve efficiency, increase productivity, reduce costs and
increase profitability.
Act as a key team player and engage and motivate the team and ensure group productivity.
Work within the team and co-ordinators/analysts to optimize capacity planning and minimise costs.
To log all project data for each project within the
financial management system to monitor costs, revenue and margin
ensuring output meets targeted goals. Initiate invoicing process.
Develop and implement metrics and tools to monitor services
applications performance across all aspects of execution (Turnaround
Times, Customer Satisfaction, Health & Safety). Review and analyse
results and develop standard work practices across all stages of
execution to ensure efficient and cost effective methods of working.
Work with sales teams to identify product and service opportunities across the Control Solutions to drive profitable growth.
Work with the engineering and technology teams to develop
product and service applications excellence to support aftermarket
product sales, installations and to meet the expectations of our
customers.
Participate in product leadership team planning and product line operational planning.
Ensure Safety Policy adherence and ensure services are
conducted in compliance with all EHS applicable regulations and employee
and customer safety practices
Develop training and best practice documentation to enable
applications and services are delivered consistently and to the highest
standards.
Degree in Technical/ Electrical/ Mechanical or other relevant qualifications or experience
Experience in undertaking field service installations for turbine, compressor and mechanical control solutions.
Demonstrated experience in driving Control Solutions
installations, services excellence and managing projects that involve
customers, vendors and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience in managing all Stakeholders (internal and external). Must have excellence interpersonal skills
Proven ability to deal with senior managers at all levels
Demonstrated experience working in a customer and team-focused environment
Demonstrated success in driving process improvement across the services and applications business
Project success driving cross-business / functional teams to drive service excellence
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
Proven Financial Management skills
