The Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing will manage GE Healthcare’s transfer pricing audits and work within the transfer pricing team to ensure compliance with global transfer pricing and tax rules in a tax efficient manner to allow GE Healthcare to compete effectively in the global marketplace.
• Effectively manage US and non-US transfer pricing audits, including audit responses, financial analysis and research, and partnering with company personnel, globally, regarding tax audits, including:
o Development of strategy for local country revenue authority transfer pricing audits
o Coordinate communications with Tax personnel, business units, and other departments regarding audits
o Monitor progress on responses and audit issues and update management
o Review and finalize responses to auditors
o Research tax issues. Document law in support of the taxpayer’s position. Prepare documentation in support of the taxpayer’s position
o Maintain expert knowledge of tax audit issues, relevant tax legislation, cases and rulings and other tax authorities relevant to tax audits
o Evaluate the relative strength or weakness of audit issues
o Recommend possible issue resolution proposals and other strategies with regard to audits, including Advance Pricing Agreement and Competent Authority
o Assist with the negotiation of settlements with tax authorities and/or Appeals and summarize recommendations for management
o Coordinate and review analysis as needed for tax provisions or financial statement disclosures
o Build strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders in Tax, business units and other internal and external groups
• Partner and participate in global planning—continuous optimization of existing and new inter-company transactions, as well as special projects related to restructuring and acquisitions
• Managing financial and functional analyses to determine transfer pricing implications of supply chain decisions, deals and acquisitions
• Performing analysis related to GEHC’s intellectual property and developing financial valuation models
• Prepare and analyze financial and economic data, identify, support and assess inter-company transactions
• Assist in the maintenance of SOX 404 documentation and perform compliance testing for applicable transfer pricing processes
• Assist in the development of market research, database development, and economic, business and statistical analysis to both establish transfer prices and support our transfer price policy
• Efficient utilization of software tools, processes and procedures for calculating transfer price
• Keep abreast of developments in US and OECD tax/transfer pricing regulations and identifying issues or opportunities attendant to those developments; and
• Assist in the preparation of statutory Transfer Pricing Documentation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Legal, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
• Minimum of 7 years of an audit, tax and/or advisory firm or financial work experience including tax audits, analyzing financial data and recommending actions to business leaders.

• Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
• Excellent oral and written communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
• Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
• Managing multiple projects in a dynamic and complex environment
• Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation, including pivot tables, Vlookup & Macros
• Advanced degree such as MBA, JD or LLM
• 10 years of Public Accounting experience or 5 years Public Accounting and 5 years in Industry
• Experience managing and negotiating Advance Pricing Agreements and Competent Authority claims
• Strong understanding of financial compliance: FIN 48, SOX, GAAP, IFRS
• Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
• Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
• Strong influencing skills across business functions
