| The
Strategic Projects Leader position is responsible for leading complex
and cross functional projects across the Research & Applied Markets
(R&AM) Business Unit. This leader will lead a team of project
specialists and experts to deliver these critical projects on time and
on budget.

| This
leader is accountable for establishing and achieving project
objectives, meeting project schedules, and project execution, as well as
communicating project status and escalating issues when appropriate to
facilitate transparency. The position requires working within the
(R&AM) Business Unit and across the other functions to identify and
justify improvements and to influence cross-functional teams to deliver
changes to products, services or processes that meet key quality,
temporal and budget requirements from inception to successful launch.
Duties include (but are not limited to): • Cross functional planning, leadership, and delivery for process improvement, integration and product improvement projects to agreed performance, time scales and costs. • Solicit relevant inputs from R&D, Product Marketing, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance and QMS teams to assess the feasibility technically linked to the business justification to secure support for new project proposals. • Collaborate with the relevant product managers and other functional groups, to resource projects appropriately and in alignment with agreed business priorities. • Establish strong links with Six Sigma and Lean processes to ensure efficiencies savings are introduced into projects. • Identify remedial action to plans when necessary and to communicate progress and anticipated outcomes to the relevant stakeholders, gaining endorsement to proposed changes • Create positive, productive, collaborative working relationships. BS Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical
Engineering or equivalent (defined as a High School Diploma/GED and
previous relevant work experience)
• Previous relevant project leadership experience • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional project teams and an ability to drive project design plans to completion • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Committed to meeting goals (manage expectations and deliverable commitments). • Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills. • Ability to diving change with strong analytical and problem solving skills • Demonstrated strong leadership with the ability to challenge the status quo and address tough decisions • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean quality concepts and tools. • Demonstrated skill and effectiveness in working in a Matrix environment GE is committed to diversity.
