Job Purpose:
The FCR Region Head leads
the regional team supporting the Fundamental Credit CRO and drives the
FCR strategy across the region. Fundamental Credit Risk represents the
holistic view of credit risk across the Company and provides best in
class support to the Citi Chief Risk Officer and to the Citigroup and
Citibank Risk Management and Finance Committees through a dynamic and
forward looking assessment process covering the credit portfolio,
policies and procedures, and staffing models. In addition, the credit
review function will be positioned to become an industry leading “third
line of defence”. FCR has dedicated ICG, CCB and GCG teams in North
America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM to address areas related to credit risk.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of regional credit review teams, including coaching, training and development
- Assessment of the overall quality of the Citi credit portfolio across product, business and regional views Identification and assessment of emerging risk trends across the organization
- Regular reporting to regional business heads, independent risk management and regulators on identified risk issues and corrective action plans Independent assessment of the accuracy and appropriateness of risk ratings and classifications, and serve as escalation point for ratings and classification disputes in the region
- Review and assessment of credit standards, policies and processes to promote leading practices, identify opportunities for improvement and enhance global consistency
- Review of the credit risk components of the Risk Appetite framework for appropriateness, completeness and usage trends
- Assessment of business and independent risk staffing models that support credit activity to ensure appropriate and sufficient resources
- Partner with other FCR Region Heads and Head of Global Products and Operations on development of FCR Review plan including regional and global reviews
- Partner with FCR senior leadership team and other global function/business partners on strategic initiatives/projects
- Facilitate relationships with key external regulators and Citi Internal Audit
- Serve as a voting member for ratings decisions
- Responsibility as the regional liaison to Learning & Development for credit training and course development
- Support VOE initiatives for Fundamental Credit Risk

Qualifications:
- SCO Level 1 or 2 designation BA/BSC or higher degree in business (MBA)
