You will be responsible for providing deep technical oversight, expert level design reviews, and help drive technical standards and best practices. You will also lead key initiatives to research and drive the adoption of new technologies to the Factorlink application tech stack, support the development organization in various technical aspects of research, design application architecture, write and review technical design documents & specifications, facilitate the development of standards.
• Serve as an overall solutions architect for specific programs and initiatives.
• Lead the oversight of future state application designs.
• Write, Review and approve technical designs (system, component, class, database, etc.) focusing on quality, simplification and re-usability and performance.
• Identify and communicate technical challenges and issues.
• Provide technical guidance by producing standards and driving reference implementations to project teams.
• Continue to expand enterprise architecture artifacts of the Factorlink application, including current state architecture, application roadmap, standards, etc.
• Participate in the preparation of long-range systems plans and assure that they are in alignment with business objectives and goals.
• Deliver hands-on designs, prototypes or proof of concepts as needed.
• Analyze industry and market trends and determine impact on the enterprise.
• We are searching for an individual with proven track record in modernizing legacy system application architecture by combining SOA and web based application standards.
• The role requires a change-oriented individual who actively generates process and technical improvements, drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, while balancing multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly.
• The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and will be a clear and succinct communicator who effectively evaluates all relevant data to make decisions; and who will anticipate obstacles and develops plans to resolve them.
• They must also possess a solid understanding on using the right technology & methods to provide solutions to business and IT challenges.

• A BS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of hands on application development experience in .Net technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in web architecting and developing highly available large applications.
• 7+ years of experience delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide, web applications -- spcifically in managing multi-generational application development projects.
• Experience with data modeling and design in Oracle/DB2 and/or Sql Server.
• Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large system environments.
• Experience in application reengineering and modernization.
• Experience building solution under a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proven strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Position will be based in Bread or Sale.
• Domain knowledge of either accounting and/or financial applications.
• Experience in redesigning/rewriting legacy application to a web application.
• Expert in .Net technologies, HTML/CSS/Ajax, Web Services, and SOA.
• Experience with BPM, Rules Engines, ESB technologies.
• In-depth understanding of architectural and design principals and methodologies, including: OOA, OOD, service oriented architecture, n-tier architecture.
• Preferable if candidate has at least 2 years experience in a development lead role.
• Expert in Oracle database and experienced in using relational database tools, and good understanding of SQL.
• Experience with Business process management, automation, improvement, and re-engineering.
• Experience in Agile software development methodology.
• Experience working with offshore development resources.
• Experience designing applications for a global user base.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a combination of Financial Accounting and a computer engineering/technical background.
• Experience in AS/400 is an advantage.
