Senior
Field Service Engineer works closely with the IT Service Manager to
deliver IT field installations and applications across the GEIT product
lines for XRay, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic and Remote Visual Inspection in
the UK and NW Europe. Although UK based, it will include an element of
European and Global travel. Responsible for customer based field service
applications, service excellence and the successful execution of all
projects to programme, budget, quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsible
for delivering field service applications and services excellence, to
include product installation, repair and maintenance applications,
across GE Inspection Technology X-ray, Ultrasonic, Eddie Current and
Remote Visual Inspection product lines. To be customer facing and
focused with cradle to grave project ownership and delivery.
To deliver IT services projects in a timely and cost
efficient way and in accordance with agreed customer specifications and
requirements, budgets, programme and to GE Quality standards.
Plan, programme and schedule applications and services
activities in line with customer expectations with clear and
professional communications throughout
Through the execution of field service applications,
identify Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) initiatives and projects that
will improve efficiency, increase productivity, reduce costs and
increase profitability.
Act as a key team player and engage and motivate the team and ensure group productivity.
To log all project data for each project within the
financial management system to monitor costs, revenue and margin
ensuring output meets targeted goals.
Work within the team and co-ordinators/analysts to optimize capacity planning and minimise costs.
Develop and implement metrics and tools to monitor services
applications performance across all aspects of execution (Turnaround
Times, Customer Satisfaction, Health & Safety). Review and analyse
results and develop standard work practices across all stages of
execution to ensure efficient and cost effective methods of working.
Work with sales teams to identify and prepare quotes, scope
of works and deliverables in support of sales bids and proposals to
drive profitable growth.
Work with the engineering and technology teams to develop
product and service applications excellence to support aftermarket
product sales, installations and to meet the expectations of our
customers.
Participate in product leadership team planning and product line operational planning.
Ensure Safety Policy adherence and ensure services are
conducted in compliance with all EHS applicable regulations and employee
and customer safety practices.
Experience
in undertaking field service applications using either X-ray,
Ultrasonic, Eddie Current and Remote Visual Inspection product lines
Proven experience in driving Non Destructive Testing (NDT) applications and services excellence
Demonstrated experience managing projects that involve customers, vendors and cross-functional teams.
Proven experience in working in a Customer focussed environment
Demonstrated success in driving process improvement across the services and applications business
Project success driving cross-business / functional teams to drive service excellence
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
Proven Financial Management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations
Excellent analytical skills.
Offshore certified & Vantage Card holder
Level 2 / 3 NDT certification
Master’s Degree in engineering / scientific discipline.
