Working within a multi-functional category team you will be responsible for the management of all Sourcing activity required for the assigned product group for both ITO and OTR. Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers you will ensure that supply chain performance meets the needs of the business.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the RFQ process for the product group both at ITO and OTR.
  • Contribute to commercial assessment of bids and supplier selection
  • Manage contract execution for your product group across all projects from PO placement to delivery.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of suppliers within your product group with a focus on capacity, capability and performance.
  • Provide regular detailed reports on contract performance to all internal stakeholders
  • Participate in global commodity team activity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve problems relating to requirements, deviations, substitutions, priorities, delays, damages, inferior quality or other conditions that deviate from established procedures.
  • Maintain current market knowledge and changing material conditions and advise management of current trends in prices and purchasing availability.

Health & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements, including but not limited to participating and assisting where necessary with any internal or external audits, ensuring the assigned area of work is kept to a good housekeeping standard, is clean and tidy at the end of each day, and engagement in the GE Global Star program for Subsea Controls.
Quality
  • Everyone at Subsea Controls is responsible for Quality, ensuring compliance at all times. All Company members are required to actively participate in the various Quality forums which are the conduit towards achieving the company’s aim of sustained Quality Improvement.
  • Bachelor's Degree (in Business or Technical discipline preferred) or significant relevant experience.
  • Experience of category management approach
  • Knowledge in MS Office, Word, Excel, Project, Purchasing /MRP related software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented.
  • Proven record of Continuous Improvement implementation.
  • High motivation. Must be a collaborative team player, willing to take ownership of decisions and be a results-oriented self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High energy, confidence and tenacity.
  • Ability to work under tight time deadlines, with frequently changing priorities.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
