As a key member of the EC&I team, you will play a lead role in the drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the power station’s control and instrumentation systems. As well as providing first line diagnostics, repair and maintenance, you will also be at the forefront of any site enhancement projects and upgrade programs. This role is based at Sutton Bridge Power Station.
Comply with Site Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, EHS Policies and Procedures
Diagnose systems and equipment problems
Repair, maintain and install systems and equipment, rearrange and modify as directed
Using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS), manage work orders, risk assessment and method statements to safely control work.
Provide callout cover in the event of equipment failures
Manage and supervise contractors to complete maintenance as required
Serve as advisor on all electrical, instrumentation and controls matters
Maintain EC&I drawing and specification files
Assist in training shift personnel in preventative maintenance activities
Sourcing the best value for money spares and services through competitive bidding.
Time served apprentice or similar within Electronics or Mechatronics
Experience in Control and Instrumentation, ideally gained in process industry such as Oil & Gas, Chemical or Power Plants
Experience of working on distributed control system, ideally Bailey Infi90 or HMI (Human Machine Interface)
Ability to understand technical and logic drawings
Strong interpersonal skills
Team Player
PC literate
Flexible - At times be able to work unsociable hours to support 24 hour operation of site
