Role Summary/Purpose	This internship will allow potential candidates to spend 12 months honing their skills, building their knowledge base and enhancing their networking capabilities. The internship role will be focussed in a the Insurance Dept focussing on Accounting & Controllership.
Essential Responsibilities	- Lead monthly closing Oracle process ensuring timely and high-quality closing - Own and further improve monthly P&L reporting and analytics - Own quarterly FED reporting for the business. Complete BSA by providing accurate schedules with correct calculation of FX & non-FX movements. Lead and improve quarterly investment reporting process & Y9C toolkit completion. - Assist the Controller and team with Ad-hoc requests from HQ. Complete analysis timely and accurately. - Ensure Bi weekly template is managed and communicated to HQ in an accurate and efficient manner. - Prepare account reconciliations for US entities of the business. Own quarterly volume accounting and primary to reporting book reconciliation. - Lead tracking and reporting of account reconciliation metrics to the HQ, ensuring completeness of account reconciliations and best-in-class standards. - Building controls on the monthly Oracle submissions, including but not limited to instant reconciliation of various dashboards. - Own cash pool accounting, CARS & NT-CARS reconciliations, profit share & business share tracker. - Prepare the account reconcliation files for statutory accounts and help with cash reconciliations by providing Webcash statements."
Qualifications/Requirements	• Studying towards/completed a degree in finance related degrees such as Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Business Studies • Demonstrated interest in Finance • Self-motivated and driven • Willing to push themselves by working with an extensive network of people in a diverse environment • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills • Flexible, adaptable and geographically mobile • Fluent in English, written and spoken • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the EU • Start date: Jan/Feb 2014
