| Assist in the strategic development of the EMEA HQ IT Risk team to provide cross business oversight and guidance to the GE Capital business teams. Serve as IT Risk Manager to drive compliance on key GRC initiatives as well as managing the risk appetite, remediation and mitigation across the technology landscape. Working across the EMEA businesses work collaboratively to develop an enterprise IT risk programme to meet GECC’s risk appetite and supervisory requirements and expectations. | |
| A significant element of this position will be to drive and embed the requisite oversight programme across EMEA such that this becomes a regularised BAU control mechanism. Within this remit is the requirement to challenge the base data for accuracy as well the business interpretation of this data in determining their key risks and remediation plans. As such strong analytical skills together with strong risk management knowledge are key competencies of this role. * Implement and embed the oversight operating rhythm as the primary risk performance meeting across EMEA technology and the associated business entities. * Implement, challenge and design regulatory risk activities and drive change and process improvement to IT risk landscape. Continuously review existing processes to ensure GECC is compliant with emerging regulatory and industry trends. * Synthesize internal and external risk data to develop Business IT risk profiles and monitor business environment to determine potential impact analysis. * Monitor the business performance on existing processes and controls to ensure compliance with policies and standards. Identify new IT and business risk areas and develop appropriate standards and controls. Build best practice sharing process to leverage learning’s and business capabilities. * Create on-going rhythm to monitor IT Risks and track Risk Treatment Plans resulting from audits or assessments. * Manage risk improvement programs across the GE Capital Businesses. * Support regulatory review processes including coordination of data requests, audit preparations and managing work plans. * Coordinate and liaise with other GECC HQ functional risk teams. | |
| * Bachelor’s Degree in IT discipline or related field with an IT focus. * Experience in IT related roles in financial services. * Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills with ability to gather input from a variety of sources, synthesize the information, and deliver an independent analysis. * Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards. * Strong Leadership and organizational skills; be able to adapt to evolving priorities supporting business goals. * Experienced at developing and sustaining relationships, building collaborative partnerships, and liaising with a variety of constituents and stakeholders at a variety of organizational levels. | |
| * Experience influencing and leading global cross functional teams/projects preferably acquired in a large multinational company. * Self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Experience with financial industry regulatory requirements a strong plus. * Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and train others on regulatory requirements. * Strong analytical skills with solid working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project. * IT Risk and/or audit certification(s) a plus, such as CISA or CRISC. * Location preference is the GE Capital EMEA HQ , London. |
