As part of the global sourcing team supporting EM services the global marine services sourcing leader drives functional performance in the assigned business segment, demonstrating leadership in communicating business goals, defining programs, and building processes in his/her functional domain. In this role you will use your experience or and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and as well as long-term business goals.

Understand business strategies for marine services and proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives
Develop sourcing strategy and integrate sourcing/procurement processes for the global Marine Services Vertical that meet business needs across EM Services organization.
Own Sourcing KPI’s, including but not limited to RFQ Coverage, Savings, Total ITO/OTR Cycle Time reduction and Quality;
Work with Business and Site Teams on execution and continuous improvement as well as Compliance requirements.
Coordinate, manage and issues Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and, as required, Purchase Orders.
Drive Sourcing initiatives on compliance, suppliers’ performance and supply base rationalization.
Ensure issues related to supplier fulfilment are managed proactively; monitors procurement activities to drive fulfilment excellence; takes direct actions on escalated cases.
Work with Commodity Teams to develop models for services capability/capacity to establish sourcing strategies for maximum leverage
Identify and qualify new suppliers, while supporting supply base rationalization initiatives
Support commodity buy
Organically collaborate with other functional domains to resolve problems relating to requirements, deviations, substitutions, priorities, delays, damages, quality or other conditions that deviate from customer expectations.
Stay current with market knowledge and changing material conditions and advise management of current trends in prices and purchasing availability.
Own preparation and presentation of management reports.
Hold weekly reviews with Direct Reports on KPI’s, processes and continuous improvement
Work with GCM’s and Service Teams on competitive analysis of vendor products / services.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with experience in a Sourcing role)
And experience in a Sourcing position.
Power electronics background and knowledge of marine industry Additional experience in Sourcing and writing fulfilment reports using MS Access, SQL or Visual Basic is preferred
Efficient with Oracle 11.3, COPICS, DART and AP systems
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
PC and database proficiency
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only)
GE program graduate is preferred (GE employees only).
