As facilities maintenance fitter you will be working closely with the facilities team working independently covering daily maintenance requirements. The role would be both progressive and demanding as the right candidate would need to work to an ever changing schedule. This role will cover a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited, to:
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a schedule to a standard to comply agreed safe working practices
• Working within a small team to ensure production is maintained in a good working order to reduce downtime of all manufacturing and production equipment and plant.
• Have a sound knowledge of single Phase and 3 phase supplies and complete electrical installations as required.
• Completing and recording maintenance tasks.
• Have Excellent fault finding skills and relevant experience in aerospace or automotive industry
• Flexible working requirement on a day and nightshift with weekends as required.
• Completion of PUWER (Provision of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) checks in line with current legislation
• Carry out TPM Total Preventative Maintenance) checks and complete improvements to the plan as required
• Maintaining a safe working environment and have a good level of health and safety awareness
• Installation of all electrical plant and equipment
• Capable of working at height and in confined spaces
• Must be apprentice trained to a minimum level of BTEC in electrical installation and have relevant experience in industrial and commercial electrical supplies.
• Have a City and Guilds 17th edition 2382 IEE Electrical Training Certificate.
• Have City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing Certificate
• Be City and Guilds PAT testing 2377 certified.
• High level of competence in electronics and PLC controlled machinery
• Experience in electrical panels and components
• An understanding of CNC machinery
• Competent in all aspects of commercial and domestic electrical installations.
• Self-motivated
• Methodical approach to diagnosing and rectifying fault finding a range of electrical and electronic equipment
• COMPEX approved
• Interpreting and working with electrical wiring and engineering drawings
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience in Robot spraying equipment
• Knowledge of polyurethane foaming machinery
• IPAF certified
• Driving Licence
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential
• Relevant health and safety knowledge
• Good awareness of chemicals
• Knowledge of Fire safety
