Role Summary/Purpose	We are looking for a Software Team Leader to lead a team in the development of Aviation Power Distribution Embedded Software. The ideal candidate should come from an embedded software background but has had previous team leading experience, is also enthusiastic in progressing their career in a team leader role.
Essential Responsibilities	Estimating, planning and execution of qualifying software releases Tasking and tracking of software issues to team Organising and chairing team meetings Metrics tracking Motivating and encouragement of team under challenging targets Assure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews Reporting of project status to Engineering Project Manager and Software Manager Help coaching, mentoring and training team members Interface with other groups; Certification, Quality, Excellence, Sourcing etc.
Qualifications/Requirements	Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent level of knowledge and experience Experience in leading teams Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding internal and external customer milestones Good problem solving and solution building skills Good communication skills to team, peers, and management Full experience of the software lifecycle Experience in developing embedded software
Desired Characteristics	Experience with the C programing language, or similar embedded language Hands on experience of software design lifecycle within Aerospace or similar controlled industry Experience of RTCA DO-178B / EUROCAE ED-12B or similar rigorous development standard Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
