We are recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst with experience in Sharepoint. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to elicit requirements (business & solution) and to then analysis and verify these. The Senior Business Analyst will be required to document these clearly and obtain sign-off from all impacted parties. They will then be expected to manage those requirements through the software development lifecycle.

Essential functions of the role:
  • Understand and capture the business context; problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups.
  • Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to identify requirements (High Level, Functional & Non-Functional).
  • Able to navigate the IT team and business sponsors through a level of ambiguity including business process change.
  • Able to work through requirement conflicts to gain consensus and escalating where appropriate.
  • Ensure the requirements are specified in a manner suitable for the intended audience and are understandable, unambiguous and capable of being implemented and tested.
  • Produce structured requirements documentation such as specifications, wireframes, process maps, user stories, use cases, context diagrams, etc.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements back to the business vision.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure timely sign off for requirements.
  • Provide input into testing scope & approach.
  • Manage the requirements through the project lifecycle by establishing and maintaining agreements between the business, supplier, technical teams, testers and the project team.
  • Ensure requirements are still being met at various key stages during the software development lifecycle, e.g. during design, test and build.
  • Responsible for ensuring change control and change management procedures are followed within the project team as they relate to requirements.
  • Ensure that quality business analysis standards are met as prescribed by IT Services through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies and deliverables.
  
Experience/Skills:
  • Experience working within a corporate IT environment.
  • Experience working on Sharepoint projects
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a business analyst  with personal accountability for delivering and managing requirements to time and cost for projects typically between $500,000 to $1m in value and 12 to 18 months in duration.
  • Experience working on international projects
  • Demonstrable experience writing and reviewing business, user and non-functional/system level requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of business analysis methodologies and techniques, e.g. Waterfall & Agile, UML, BPMN, Use Cases, User Stories, Context Diagrams
  • Work experience in a professional services industry strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field
