Job Purpose:

A position has arisen for a Project Lead to manage Operations deliverables for EMIR, Dodd Frank and other regulatory requirements as they arise. This position will involve executing complex projects to short deadlines covering many EMEA and global locations. The successful applicant will be responsible for partnering with Reg Reform, Legal, Country Operations and Technology Analysts to determine to ensure key deliverables are achieved to Industry and internal deadlines. The candidate will be an experienced Operations subject matter expert who also has a strong track record in project analysis The person will also be the point of contact to troubleshoot issues, answer queries from internal senior management and Program Offices, and contribute to MIS and follow-on analysis. Act as subject matter expert for Operations’ questions and training. The role will also cover other regulatory mandates as required such as, but not limited to HKMA, MAS, Basel III. Potentially attend industry working groups as needed

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Industry and Internal Working Groups, Reg Reform, Legal and Technology to translate regulatory obligations into internal processes and controls;
  • Determine, verify and document business requirements;
  • Develop and maintain project plans; Identify and communicate key project risks and manage to resolution;
  • Develop test strategies, document test scenarios, and coordinate the execution of test scripts;
  • Facilitate meetings with the appropriate subject matter experts as required;
  • Liaise with Operations, Front Office, PMO, Reg Reform and Legal to ensure comprehensive solutions;
  • Partner with Technology staff to ensure that functional proposals are fit for purpose Identify and communicate dependencies to stakeholders and other team members;

Qualifications

 
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Practical experience of Operations process and analysis;
  • Knowledge of end to end trade lifecycle and trade processing environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects through influence as well as direct accountability;
  • Experience of compiling data and analysing results;
  • Experience of defining and documenting business requirements;

Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree standard preferable Prince II or other PM certified qualification would be desirable although not essential.
  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.

Skills:
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, MS Project, VISIO, MS Access;
  • Knowledge of FXLM Technology platforms is an advantage;
