Responsibilities
Dynamics AX Retail Sales Director is responsible for controlling sales strategy to achieve retail market penetration by successfully leading the sales force including solution sales specialists and retail pre-sales technical professionals.
The position requires formulation and strategic thinking to expand Dynamics AX for retail market by applying disciplined, structured and robust sales management process. Specifically the role demands
- Leading and developing a team of Solution Sales Professionals and Pre-Sales technology professionals,
- Hands-on involvement in large strategic enterprise opportunities,
- Exceeding Dynamics AX for retail quota,
- Driving the forecasting ROB established for Dynamics AX for Retail,
- Ensuring strong To customer and Through-partner sales and marketing execution
- Maintaining expense budget controls.
Key elements of the role include:
Strong Retail & Distribution domain/industry knowledge
Articulate about, and deep understanding of retail solutions
Proven ability in managing complex ERP sales cycles from start to finish
Large & complex enterprise sales methodology experience
High standard of excellence, professionalism and role model behavior
Deep understanding of Solution Capabilities
Develops solution alternatives highlighting value, key risks, and mitigation strategies
Envision, Architect and Vet Solution Designs
Identify and manage large strategic account opportunities, prepare account strategy and guide sales execution.
Fosters a performance based team environment, actively encouraging contribution and participation
Evangelize vision and translate strategy into executable work streams
Develop and implement a strategy for key accounts and initiatives, as well as a framework for team work with team members across departments, partners and ISV organizations.
Apply disciplined, structured and robust sales management processes and methodologies to the business. Ensure the organization is compliant to all methodologies
Strong Project management skills
People development leadership and accountability
Provide strong leadership and coaching to sales force through training and performance management.
Customer Solution Briefings
Cross teaming with all customer segment teams
Develops winning proposals and performs successful negotiations
Pipeline management and forecasting accuracy
Track record of successful revenue attainment
Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Job Qualifications
- Retail & distribution technology solution sales and pre-sales experience
- Strong leadership skills and experience
- ERP application sales experience is required;
- ERP implementation experience is beneficial
- Good knowledge of Microsoft and competitive business application solution offerings, strategies and licensing programs;
- Practical experience with Oracle Retail and SAP IS Retail Offerings is beneficial;
- Outstanding oral and written communication, organizational, leadership, analytic, creative, and collaborative skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or other relevant discipline; Ability to travel 30% to 50%.
