The Senior Manager of Strategy and Business Planning is responsible for providing support to the VP/GM, Global Business Travel for UK and Switzerland, as well as helping to drive the business goals of the organization.
The successful candidate will work closely with the UK Senior Leadership Team as well as working with the various leaders and leadership teams across GBT. It is important that anyone considering this role is flexible and adaptable as well as comfortable with ambiguity. You will at times need to deal with the pressure of deadlines or timelines, manage multiple deliverables and react to changing needs. You’ll need to demonstrate both the ‘big picture’ strategic thinking as well as the ‘attention to detail’ of tactical execution. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate integrity, confidence, discretion and executive presence to interact with Senior Leaders across our organization. The successful candidate is ideally highly organized, anticipatory and a detailed-oriented individual with strong leadership, influencing & collaboration skills. The Manager of Strategy and Business Planning will have a B30 analyst direct report.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the VP/GM with the review/development of the business’s strategy and the preparation of annual plans
- Reporting and initiative tracking to monitor progress against key priorities
- Monitoring performance of account management teams against key goals on a monthly basis, Identify areas of underperformance, assess issues/opportunities and work with key stakeholders to evaluate impact
- Owning and/or participating in key business transformation projects
- Coordinating Employee Engagement strategy and activities and managing market level Reward & Recognition program
- Supporting VP/GM with internal and external communications. From independently creating presentations for senior leadership to management of SLT meetings, Townhalls, client newsletters etc.
Qualifications
Candidates will be expected to:
- Work well under pressure, be flexible and balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines
- Partner with Senior Leadership Team to achieve shared goals and ensure best utilization of meeting time and agendas
- Provide strategic thought leadership with an ability to learn quickly, “connect the dots” and drive results while working with minimal direction
- Demonstrate the ability to influence senior leaders and achieve results through others
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to manage and drive change
- Possess excellent communication skills – especially written where it’s essential to be able to synthesize information and data and then communicate it concisely in presentations
- Be analytical in nature with strong financial acumen and organizational skills
- Demonstrate ability to manage large quantities of data to extract meaningful insights
- Have strong integrity and be able to handle projects of sensitive and confidential nature
- Possess excellent relationship skills, able to build relationships across geographies/locations and to leverage those through collaboration and partnership to drive results
- Identify and encourage the sharing of best practices across teams and locations
- Have a strong executive presence, relationship man skills and be comfortable navigating and representing the organization in a professional and engaging manner
- Display strong project management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
