About EMEA Inside Sales at EMC
The EMEA Inside Sales organization forms part of global EMC Inside sales function. It is a professional sales organization comprising of a dedicated team of multi-lingual sales professionals. This team is challenged to deliver on a charter that includes; revenue creation, demand generation, talent development and modernizing the selling process while at all time working on a journey of continuous improvement through operational excellence.
General Summary
Reporting to the Director of Inside Sales, this pivotal role will operate within the Inside Sales Management team to ensure the delivery of the EMEA Inside Sales charter and goals. The role holder will be responsible for leading, managing, motivating and developing our UK Inside Sales Team, a group of dynamic and talented Inside Sales Reps, our largest team in the EMEA Mid-Market space. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical, business and leadership skills and will be passionate in the area of talent development. The Manager role w orks towards the achievement of revenue goals, sales targets & demand generation responsibilities, along with the overall values and vision of EMC Inside Sales. S/he will establish plans and strategies to defend, expand, and grow both the EMC customer base and EMC market share.
Areas of Responsibility:
· Responsible for the development and performance of all inside sales activities within the UK Territory.
· Direct sales teams through leadership and coaching to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
· Create measure and inspect innovative demand generation programs and initiatives .
· Be responsible for the development of talent within the EMEA Inside Sales function and for the delivery of talent to the EMC EMEA field organization with focused responsibility on creating the next generations of EMC Sales professionals across diverse sales teams.
· Work with the management team to create a vision for the organization and lead the team to develop and execute the agreed sales strategies.
· Develop and enhance a collaborative Inside Sales selling model with our dedicated partner counter parts that aligns resources and enables scale and reach though focused demand generation programs.
· Budgeting and Forecasting responsibilities.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including senior sales management within the assigned regions, corporate leadership, support functions, etc.
· Pioneer the modernization of the sales process by deploying the relevant strategies and newly emerging tools e.g. social media and data analytics.
Skills Required / Preferred:
Previous EMC or IT Field Sales experience with strong leadership capabilities and a proactive management style. · Ability to influence others and achieve results.
Flexible and dynamic approach to enable and guide the organisation through change. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal. Excellent planning skills taking into account local practices across EMEA. Ability to analyse sales figures and market trends and effectively utilise information in a proactive manner to attain business objectives. Previous exposure to an Inside Sales environment would be beneficial. · Mentoring and coaching skills – the ability to inspire and lead.
· Strong product/technology/industry knowledge including competitor information.
Willingness to travel.
